As the Manager of Planning and Development Services, Stefan is responsible for overseeing statutory planning and development functions within the local government, including the assessment of development applications, subdivision referrals, planning compliance, and the administration of the Local Planning Scheme. Drawing on extensive experience in urban and regional planning, Stefan provides professional advice to Council on land use planning, zoning, development approvals and strategic growth initiatives.
With extensive experience in Local Government project delivery, the Manager of Planning and Development Services has played a key leadership role in the planning, development and delivery of some of the Shire’s most significant infrastructure and community projects.
Stefan has contributed to the successful delivery of major initiatives including the construction of the Cornerstone Building, Moort Wabiny Family Play Park, Stage 1 Redevelopment of the Beverley Swimming Pool, Redevelopment of the Beverley Civic Centre, and the construction of the Beverley Caravan Park Cabins. Stefan also served as the Shire’s Project Manager for the transformative and award winning Vincent Street Redevelopment, overseeing the revitalisation of Beverley’s main street and helping to enhance the town’s character, accessibility and visitor appeal.
Stefan’s commitment to heritage conservation and tourism development was recognised through his leadership of the award-winning Beverley Heritage Trail Project, which celebrated and showcased the town’s rich history and built heritage.
In addition to the infrastructure and community development achievements, Stefan was a lead coordinator in the highly successful Beverley Airshow 2026, helping to deliver one of regional Western Australia’s premier tourism and community events, attracting thousands of visitors to Beverley and the Avon region.
Through a collaborative and strategic approach, the Manager of Planning and Development Services continues to make a significant contribution to shaping Beverley’s future, delivering projects that strengthen community wellbeing, support economic growth, and enhance the Shire’s reputation as a vibrant regional destination.
