What's in Beverley

The Shire of Beverley covers 2,300 square kilometres of the Western Australian Central Wheatbelt. The predominant industry is broad acre agriculture. Other supporting industries, such as farm suppliers, steel fabricators and general retail are found in the main town of Beverley.

The town of Beverley provides a range of commercial, recreational and social services for residents and visitors alike. The revitalised main street of Beverley provides all the goods and services that are vital to a country town including a fabulous Bakery, a large family play park (Moort Wabiny Park) and a beautiful arts precinct known as the Beverley Station Arts. The town has a government District High School catering for students from pre-primary to Year 10 as well as other educational opportunities accessed via the Beverley Community Resource Centre located in the Cornerstone Building.

The town is proud of its health facilities boasting a district hospital, two medical centres with several full time doctors, a frail aged lodge and a village catering to persons over 55yrs. Government services, such as Centrelink and Medicare can be accessed through the Beverley Community Resource Centre.

If you are looking for a place to build or buy the town is served by the Goldfields Water Supply Scheme and electricity by Synergy. Internet and mobile coverage are available to most areas of the townsite.

Beverley has football, cricket, netball, tennis, bowls, golf, motor sports and horse clubs amongst many others. There is a recently renovated 50m long swimming pool open November to April. The pool also features a beach entry pool for toddlers and learn to swim pool for young children. 

There are lovely winter walking trails located at Brooking Street Bush Reserve and the Dale River Reserve. There is a historic walk along the main street where using your mobile you can access the historical information of our buildings.
