As Deputy Chief Executive Officer of the Shire of Beverley since 2012, Simon plays a pivotal role in the strategic and financial management of the organisation. With extensive experience in Local Government administration, he is responsible for overseeing the Shire's corporate and financial operations, ensuring sound governance, sustainable financial management and the effective delivery of Council's strategic objectives. His portfolio includes budgeting, long-term financial planning, reporting, asset management and the administration of key corporate services.
Simon has been instrumental in the planning, funding and delivery of numerous transformative infrastructure projects that have enhanced the liveability, functionality and economic vitality of Beverley. His project leadership has contributed to several landmark developments, including:
- Construction of the Cornerstone Building
- Redevelopment of Vincent Street Main Street
- Construction of the Moort Wabiny Family Play Park (Project Manager)
- Construction of the Beverley Caravan Park Cabins (Project Manager)
- Redevelopment of the Beverley Civic Centre (Project Manager)
- Redevelopment of the Beverley Swimming Pool – Stage 1 (Project Manager)
