The Shire of Beverley regulates development in the Shire in accordance with the requirements of Town Planning Scheme No. 2 and the supporting Local Planning Strategy.

These documents guide the development, subdivision and use of land throughout the Shire.

The Planning Department is keen to assist residents and prospective developers with any queries they may have in regards to any of the town planning scheme requirements or any other town planning matter.

SHIRE OF BEVERLEY LOCAL PLANNING POLICY - THE HERITAGE LIST

 Pursuant to Clause 4(1)(a) of Schedule 2, Part 2, Division 2 of the Planning and Development (Local Planning Schemes) Regulations 2015, notice is hereby given of Council’s intention to adopt a Local Planning Policy – The Heritage List.

The objectives of the Local Planning Policy – The Heritage List are as follows:

  • to achieve transparency and consistency in the designation of a Heritage List;
  • to provide clear guidelines on how challenges to inclusion will be assessed;
  • to ensure that the Heritage List is maintained in a manner and form that is consistent with the local planning scheme; and
  • to clarify which places will fall outside the scheme provisions for heritage.

 

Submissions are invited on the draft policy with all comments to be submitted to PO Box 20 Beverley WA 6304, within 21 days of the date of this notice.

A copy of the policy can be obtained during normal business hours at Shire Offices, 136 Vincent Street, Beverley.
