All dogs over the age of three months must be registered with the Shire.
Registration expires on the 31st of October each year.
Both a one year or three year license is available.
From November 1 2013, all pups and other dogs being registered for the first time, and dogs where ownership is changing, must be microchipped. All other dogs will need to be microchipped by 1 November 2015.
If microchipping is likely to adversely affect the health and welfare of the dog, a veterinarian can provide an Exemption Certificate.
